  Stayed here while visiting family. Room was lovely but we were at the rear so no view. Food was OK but the carvery was outstanding

  Room was cold. Breakfast was on big plate but was filled with lots of mushrooms. Not much choice on breakfast menu. Cereals, toast or full english. There was only one guest being served that morning.

  My husband and I were recently guests for what should've been a long weekend away.
  
  Upon arrival we had fantastic service and taken to our room which was the Petrel Double Room - perfect for us and our dog.
  
  Later on we came down for dinner and had the option of a carvery or something from the menu, the food - fantastic.
  
  As stated on your website:
  
  "For a great nights sleep, retire to one of our light and airy bedrooms."
  
  So of course we looked forward to just relaxing.... and at 2am lucky us we finally managed to try and get some sleep!!
  
  All night we had staff walking up and down the stairs banging the doors which then vibrated our wood on wood doors, taps being put on which meant everyone heard if you're washing your hands or brushing your teeth and a bar that our room is right above that plays music until 1.30am but heck that's ok as a pregnant women I love to party!!!
  
  Another positive, you don't need an alarm clock because 6.30am you're woken up by yet more banging of the doors and taps being put on.
  
  At 7.30 we got up, packed our bags and headed downstairs to speak to the manager, only to be told by the cleaners that nobody is in... in fact the impression we got, they haven't anyone staying here over night at all safety first and all that... thank god there wasn't a fire.. luckily the cleaners who were extremely helpful called the area manager Steve Hancock who luckily for us, was on his way - upon his arrival we explained the situation and  rather than an apology or the option of a different room we got told "well it's a B&B after all" how silly of us to expect silence at night! A great area manager..
  
  We expected a full refund due to the fact we didn't get a "great nights sleep" as stated instead we got 4 glorious hours, a long 5 hour journey back home and a mere £65 refund!
  
  Would definitely recommend a manager sleeping in this room on a Friday night!!!!
